Organizing Windows and Panels

Customizing your workspace involves moving and adjusting Document windows and panels, enabling you to create tailored setups. This customization extends to saving your workspace configurations for easy switching.

Adjusting Document Windows

When you have multiple files open, Document windows are consolidated into tabs.

To rearrange the order of tabbed Document windows, simply drag a window's tab to a new position within the group.

To detach (float or untab) a Document window from the group, drag its tab outside the group.

Note: You can also utilize options like Window > Arrange > Float in Window to individually float a Document window, or Window > Arrange > Float All In Windows to float all Document windows simultaneously.

To dock a Document window into a separate group, drag it into the desired group.

For stacked or tiled document groups, utilize drop zones along the top, bottom, or sides of another window. Additionally, select a layout for the group via the Layout button on the Application bar.

When dragging a selection and switching to another document in a tabbed group, drag the selection over the desired document's tab briefly.
