The file size of an image depends on its pixel dimensions and the number of layers it contains. High-resolution images can produce more detail when printed, but they also take up more storage space and may take longer to edit and print.
To reduce the file size of an image, you can reduce the number of layers or the image resolution. You can view the file size information for an image at the bottom of the application window.
